I’ve always been a quick decision maker. I think that’s because I rely on my instinct and my heart to show me the way – and I trust them. They’ve rarely let me down.
But it has taken me a long time to get to where I can hold space for them to be heard. I used to run around without paying much attention to who I was or what I hoped for in life. I used to be so busy, all I heard was noise.
Stop and listen
What stopped me and helped me go deep was three things:
1. A strong group of friends and family who are willing to listen to me as I review options.
2. Practices (mine are my gratitude journal, SoulCollage, prayer) that quiet me.
3. A life coach who guides me to myself and supports me as I make decisions.
Each of these has a component of listening that is vital to my journey. I can talk all I want about making a decision but it’s not until I get quiet to listen to my heart that I can be sure. I can go round and round in myself trying to work things out but sharing them with someone who listens carefully and asks powerful questions brings out new insights.
I’ve been so inspired by the changes I’ve made since working with a life coach that I decided to become one. Now I get to invite people into imagination and possibility. And I love it!
How do you make decisions?
If you want to learn to listen to your voice of wisdom, let me know. I would love to work with you and share the tools and techniques that have been shared with me. Let’s do this. Together.
